My blog: Taranto, Linux, Internet, but not only ..
This happened just yesterday ..
E 'shocking ..
I would love to repeat some obscenities in front of those who have seen the consumption and die a loved ..
Today on the home page of Focus.it stands a special on the most polluted places in Italy. Just click, and here at the bottom of the page, the list of these 10 places, appears just my beloved hometown, Taranto!
EXTENSION: 11,374 ha, including 6991 and 4383 of seabed terrain.
Contaminants: dioxins and PCBs, heavy metals, hydrocarbons, asbestos.
Contaminated: the steel industry, oil and cement.
The article reported data, those who live in Taranto and is interested in certain subjects, has already felt and suffered, but I think it is good to quote some passages of this article, just to refresh your memory (and why not, maybe to bring aware of the problem who has so far ignored):
"According to the 2008 Report of ARPA Puglia, the only fireplace E312 Sinter plant Ilva escapees are up to 171 grams of dioxin a year. If we look at the European Pollutant Emission Register discover that in 2004, emissions of dioxin industries throughout Spain were 75.6 grams, the United Kingdom 68.6 g, 20.6 g and that of Sweden Austria 1.5. A single line of Italian products in one year does more harm to all the industries of this country! And if we multiply the 171 grams per year emitted in Taranto for the 45 years of the Ilva get 7.7 kg dioxin. That is almost three times the amount spilled in Seveso in 1976! "
And yet, the article ends like this:
» ".. The industrial area of Taranto is inserted between the contaminated sites of national interest since 1998 and reclaimed it in 2007 for just 1% (Ispra 2007)."
This is the full report, which should be read in one breath, even including the various links reported ..
Taranto wake up!
This is serious, very serious .. I think Tarantino is now even those who know what the state is our beautiful city in terms of pollution .. L 'AIL Taranto calls .. To get an idea, these are the readings ARPA Puglia on emissions of dioxin in the skies of the city ..

The right to health

Needless to stress the importance of this appeal, it is time we citizens of Taranto started to move if we want this city to come out in practice by the state of profound neglect and instability that has fallen in recent years!
